Last week & more…
Happy Diwali… This is all you can hear in office today. As most of the population is from India, everybody is kinda celebrating. Office is offering lunch and all look happy. I wonder if eid is celebrated like this in here. I think this all depends on the strength of related community.
Also, Its first snow fall of season. Its light by the moment but still it’s a snow fall and i am seeing live for the first time in my life. Out, its cold but office heating system is working as it should be.
When everybody is celebrating, I got time to update my blog. So, what happened last week???
After Rauf left, I felt a bit lonely but all that feeling was gone in few hours. Kamran visited several times during the week and have been helping me with lots of things. Akif was absent whole week, came back on weekend. During the weekend, I spent some good moments with Vikas, Rakesh, Sunil and Suraj. By the way, Suraj has been cooking lot of good stuff, especially chicken, and I normally preferred the food cooked by him.
Apart from all the normal living and fun, I spent a lot of time when I tried installing gOS 3.0. Its a very polished derivative of Ubuntu and after Linux mint, I like this one a lot. What took me so long was not the installation but the burning of image to a DVD-RW. I knew that my DVD writer is not behaving as expected. Maybe I need to clean the lens a little bit. However, after a lot of tension and problems, it got burnt. I mean the image. Yet, I haven’t got enough time to spend with gOS. It looks like this one also lacks the drivers/kernel modules for zaurus. I am in no mood of compiling them right now. Will see to it later.
This week was also important in another way. I had to take few very critical decisions. Coming days will show the result.
Yesterday, I enjoyed a vacation for the first time and did not come to office. Slept all day, and that i did really well. Today again, I planned to stay home but free food brought me to Office.
